Gliding - 25 May 2013
On 25 May 2013, 27 Squadron has the opportunity to take 40 cadets gliding in Chatham. Each Cadet normally gets a 15 minute flight in the glider. The glider is towed into the air by a powered aircraft. During the remaining part of the day, Cadets may socialize with each other, spend time working on homework assignments, read, play games, etc. This activity is entirely dependent on the weather, as the gliders cannot fly in certain conditions. If the event is cancelled, you will be notified when you drop off your son/daughter. Do not leave without having your son/daughter confirm that the activity is still viable. The parade will take place at Carling Heights Community Centre. Cadets must arrive at 0900hrs for practice. Family and friends who plan to attend should be in their seats for 1235hrs as the parade begins at 1245hrs.
